That’s because what you eat–or don’t eat–for breakfast has the power to make you sluggish by mid-morning or feeling bright and energized till lunch. A morning meal regulates your blood sugar levels which helps put you in a good mood; it prevents you from getting overly hungry later in the day which translates into better weight control. Also, it revs up your metabolism according to Gunnar Peterson, Penelope Cruz and Jennifer Lopez’s trainer. He suggests eating something within thirty minutes after waking. “You want to send your body a sign that you’re not starving so it starts burning fat,” he asserts. Now, it’s true some people, including doctors, believe that skipping breakfast can be beneficial–and you might be among those that swear that a cup of coffee energizes you until noon. Regardless of what suits you best, it’s clear that succeeding in the acting game takes an enormous amount of energy and focus. And these tremendously talented and successful actors are among those that specifically skip sugary cereals and yummy pastries, and instead go for the lean proteins, healthy fats, and nutritious veggies.
